Adam paused before the mirror
Wind pushes against a frame weakened by war And you waver Cold shivers every sinew, freezing every drop And you fracture You entertain the notion "Am I evil, then?" Rifling through pages and scanning every entry Atrocious, base, calamitous, damnable Every letter its own And you scan the ground for litter Cigarette butts and wrappers a harmful aspect, effect or consequence You bend down and pocket trash as Leaves fall down and scatter What more can I offer? How much more can I suffer?
